1. People around the world can now enjoy the updates in Picasa 3.8. The latest Picasa update is now available in 38 languages. This update includes; batch uploading and other synchronization controls with Picasa Web Albums, the addition of Picnik's photo-editor, Face Movie and more. Face Movie is a fun way to showcase photos centered around one person.

    To upgrade to Picasa 3.8 in your language, visit picasa.google.com or your local Picasa site to download the latest version. When you load Picasa for the first time, it displays in the same language as your operating system. You can always easily change your language settings under Options.

  2. We are happy to announce the latest release of Picasa’s photo management software is available for download. Depending upon your update settings, Picasa 3.8 will auto-update to your desktop over the next few weeks or you can manually download the latest version by visiting picasa.google.com.

    Key updates in this release:
    • Batch Album upload —Now you can upload multiple albums
      all at once to Picasa Web Albums, see what you have already uploaded to Picasa Web or have already uploaded at a
      low resolution.
    • Additional options with Picasa Web Albums — Remove albums, change upload size, visibility, or the sync state of photos that are already online on Picasa Web Albums.
    • Addition of Picnik photo-editing — Picnik is an easy and powerful photo-editor and now it can be accessed from within Picasa. Select Picnik.com from the editing options, edit your photo, and save it right back to your album. Please note, you will need to be connected to the Internet to access Picnik’s features.
    • Face Movie — This is a definite must-see. Create a movie based around a person. As the photos transition from one to another the subject’s face stays aligned in one focus area, creating a unique viewing experience.
