1. Picasa is now available in 38 languages! We've also added a new sharing option for your Picasa Web Albums, giving you more control over who can view your photos. Try the new "Sign-in to view" option to share your albums with specific users only. To learn more about album visibility, click here.

    We'll be rolling out this autoupdate over the next couple of weeks. If you don't want to wait, you can manually download the latest version on picasa.google.com.

    This ReadMe page appears when you update or install new Picasa software on your PC.  It tells you what changes and improvements are in each release.

    Picasa 3.0 is a major upgrade from Picasa 2.  For an in-depth overview of what's new, you can play the video below, read our launch post on the Google Photos blog, or consult the "Picasa 3 New Features" Support Document.  Feedback and questions are also welcome in our forums.




    A brief summary of changes in this release, versus Picasa 2:

    Better integration between desktop and the web
    • Automatically sync edits from PC to web, and share online albums directly from Picasa.

    • Improved Photo Collage tool

    New Movie Maker

    Changes in this release versus the final 'beta' build (57.24) include:

  3. Automatic update for Picasa 3 beta testers.

    Changes in this release are:
    • Bug fixes.
    • Updated RAW support for more cameras including: Canon 1000D and the Powershot A720, Nikon D700, and Olympus E-520.
    • Increased YouTube file size upload limit to 1GB.
